Time flies! Our Town & Country location is ready for full use of unlimited memberships- we will be issuing codes to members on 9/1/23 so you will be able to create anytime at Crossroads Art House! All memberships come with the benefits of unlimited memberships. You can also enjoy free bisque firings, utilize our slab roller, clay tools, pottery wheels, 1/2 off of glazing, 10% all purchases (including Armadillo clay that we carry- Longhorn White with Grog, Longhorn White, Raku, Porcelain, Cinco Blanco, Cinco Rojo, and Buffalo Wallow) No need to drive out of town or pay for shipping! You can pre-purchase clay over the phone or online. You can also purchase clay at the Town & Country location anytime we are open Tues-Fri from 3-6pm or Sat 2-6pm. Members will be able to claim a shelf or drawer to house their works in progress. There is a refrigerator and microwave for member use as well. We have specialty glazes that are only for members including Mayco Elements and Crystal Magic glazes as well as a wide array of colors of the Mayco Stroke & Coat. The kid’s classes registration is in full swing! You can register at cah.as.me or call/text 719-722-4115. Classes will being at the Mitchell School location starting on September 5th. For now, all classes are at our Town & Country location. We can’t wait to share our new program with you! With three levels- Explore, Imagine, Create, the young artist in your life can master the Elements of Art, Principles of Design, Increase their understanding of a basic art history timeline, Learn about artists throughout history, discover their own artistic style, and create their own portfolios, series, and more! Kid’s Clay Classes will remain at the Town & Country location. So the 5-6PM Wednesday Clay Class will remain at the Town & Country. If you are interested in a kid’s clay class on another day- please reach out because if we get enough interest, we can open up other dates/times.

Kid’s Classes- PORT LAVACA. We are continuing all classes until 8/31/23 at 515 N. Virginia St. Suite B. We are actively seeking another location and/or possibly keeping the Virginia location pending funding. We had agreed to pay a portion of the rent but Sheila Abigail is relocating to San Antonio unexpectedly so we do not have the same arrangement for a year as we first expected. We have had kid’s classes in Port Lavaca since 2021 and plan on continuing the classes. Our students consistently win awards at various art shows each year and we are so thankful for the partnership we have with Victoria Fine Arts Association for these classes!
UPDATE: It looks like we have found an alternate location! We will plan to move classes there for all Port Lavaca offerings beginning 9/1/23!!! We will make more announcements soon.
Paint & Fire Pottery is available at our Town & Country Location- 2914 N. Laurent St. in Victoria! Glaze or paint with acrylic Tues-Fri 3-6pm or Saturday 2-6pm. Glaze is a type of paint you can use that causes special effects on clay when fired. It also enables ceramic pieces to be food safe! Check out some of the bisqueware examples both complete and before painting below!
